Butterfly Journey (Interactive Learning Experience)
Butterfly Journey is an interactive learning experience made to teach fifth graders about the butterfly cycle. The journey would take place in an exhibit before entering a butterfly house. The goal of this project is to teach children about the topic while giving them creative freedom. It is meant to encourage kids to not only learn, but also show the importance of making creative decisions.
Wireframes
The wireframes show the basic layout of my experience as well as showcasing where I see this experience being used. Showing the interactive experience to the left, a butterfly display to the right, and the entrance to the butterfly house right down the middle.
These are the wireframes that show the simple layout of the the interactive learning experience with no design decisions being made yet. Maintaining focus on the functionality and structure of the product.
Design Comps
The design comps show the final style of the product with final typeface, colors, and illustrations being chosen. The illustrations created are meant to reflect child-like drawings allowing the children to engage in an experience they feel like they could create.
Prototype
In my prototype I wanted to include moving objects to keep the children engaged without being too distracting. The directions are also set up in a way that is easy for each child to use no matter their skill level.
